We have two gigs arranged with a few more to be announced in the near future. Our first Gig is on Thur the 21st of April at the Brunswick Hotel and is free. We will be on round about 10pm. We would like to thank Mr Bill Blackwood www.billblackwood.co.uk for giving us this gig. He is having an exhibition upstairs in the Penthouse suite (invite only).

Next is the Nice n Sleazys gig on Sat 30th April. Also on the bill are "Castro" and "The Drift". The doors will open round about 8.30pm.We are currently finishing recordings of "Little Disease" and "Bang Bang". We will put the recordings on the site as soon as they are ready.

Recently we have been working on an accoustic set of more laid back songs. We will have some accoustic gigs to announce soon, we are quite excited about this project. Hopefully we will see some of you at one of our up and coming gigs, come say hello.

A big thanks to everyone who came to our last gig in Stereo. We will have another gig to announce very soon.

There are a couple of samples of our recent recordings in the music section of the site.

We are currently working on another two new songs. "Bang Bang" and "The coolest trainers". One if not the two of them will be ready for our next gig.

Sorry for the lack of updates to this site. Not having internet access is a curse (withdrawl symptoms). Anyway, we have been recording some tunes that are nearly finished, just the vocals to do - so as soon as I dont have the cold - they will get done. We will put the recordings on the site as soon as we can .

Our next gig is on Thur 6th Jan @ Nice n Sleazys, I am really looking forward to this gig as sharing the bill are the excellent Q without U and The Decider, I think this is going to be a good night. It is Christmass, and I want to get away from this computer and do some christmas type stuff (drinking and eating), so goodbye for just now. I will try to keep the site up to date in the future......

Things might look quite for us and gig wise they are. We have had to pull out of the gig on the 18th at the 13th note cafe as Jamie is off abroad for a bit. I would recommend going to the gig to see Wake The President all the same though.

We are however, writing and rehearsing new material, we are quite exited about one or two of the tunes we are working on, there is still a bit to be done but I have got a feeling that we will get there with them. Keep checking for future gigs, we will have some dates to announce soon.

Wednesdays' little gig in Stereo went really well, we would even go so far as to say, it was our best gig yet. We will have some more gigs to announce very soon. Thanks to everyone who came along, much appreciated.

For our next gig we will have another new song (hopefully) ready. We have a few ideas kicking around, so with some work one or two of them might make it through the strict TSRG quality check procedure, or failing that one of them will at least have a beginning bit, a middle bit and an ending, which is always a good thing!

Thanks to everyone who came along to Sleazys last night, especially Dom, Marshal and Julie who made there way in from Strathaven. Although we had a few technical problems, we thought it went reasonably well.

It certainly went better than our last gig and we got some positive feedback from various random people out side of the band circle. So, yeah, things are getting better. We know what we need to sort out for the next gig @ Stereo on Wed 6th Oct, hopefully we will see some of you there.
Saftey first! Adam.

Well, our first gig with Gary playing with us on Thursday! What can I say? I can say, I wish I could remember the whole of the night, ahem, I have a terrible memory problem. It seems to get worse every time I go a near a pub. But anyway, the gig, yes, although it wasn't perfect, we enjoyed and were happy with it. The gig showed us what we need to work on and gave Gary (who played very well) a small taste of The Safe Rave Gang live experience ;) .

We also got offered a gig @ Nice n Sleazys this Tues 27th Sept, so we are looking forward to that one. All in all, a good night, thanks to everyone who made it along.
Play safe! Adam.

Mondays, I don't like them, especially with this rain type stuff falling from the sky all the time. Anyway's, we had a productive weekend, jamming / rehearsing with Gary on Fri night and Sunday. We have worked out some vocal harmonies and guitar parts for the selected songs. They still need some rehearsing, so we are not sure if Gary will be gigging with us on Thurs 23rd Sept at Mchuills, we are pretty confident that we will be rehearsed enough for the gig on the 6th Oct @ Stereo though, fingers crossed.

Another good thing to come from this weekend's rehearsing is the start of a new song, the main part of the song is there, just a couple of structure changes and it will be ready to play. We are all happy about this, these days we are becoming very fussy as to what songs we actually want to play.
Thanks, Adam.

Ok, where do I start? This is a new venture for us and we are currently building and working on new material. We are looking fwd to our next rehearsal as we are going to be jamming with a possible new band member - Gary Rice, who we have known for some time and is acknowledged to be an all round musical genius ;)

Hopefully Gary will be able to give us that extra something that we are looking for. I hope that Gary will be able to play at our next couple of gigs. Mchuills on the 23rd Sept and Stereo on the 6th Oct.

One of the things we will be aiming for soon is to get some recordings done and put on this site. I think the songs we will be considering will be "In your winter" "Follow The Lion" "Lesson number 1" hopefully we will have a couple of newer songs ready for recording as well. As I said, this is a new venture for us and it might take a little bit of time to build up momentum, so, if you can, bare with us.
Thanks, Adam.

The Safe Rave Gang say -

Rain, it's wet. Dark, it's cold. Glasgow it's in Scotland. A rave gang with the word "Safe" after the word "The" in there name. The Safe Rave Gang! A music gang, or band, or group! Yeah, a band! Guitars that are black, or have a wood finish, with strings that are verging on rusty and make a noise that on there own should sound wrong.

Drums hit hard, tribal, building up then breaking down. From Glasgow, from the rain, from the cold, from places that give shelter from the cold and the rain. Conversations heard and remembered, thoughts formed, described and repeated until there meaning is lost.

Dancing, the movement of ones body in a rhythmic manner in time to music. Where is the music from? Is it in your head? Is the music in your head the same as the music in my head? What colour is your music? Does your music have stripes?

Pretentious? Stoopid? Not an idea! Not two words! Just one word! The Safe Rave Gang, Thesaferavegang, TSRG, SRG, just a name, the name of a gang. Why? Why not? This is merely an introduction. Proper sentences are,,,,
